Raw Architecture Workshop [RAW] is a young, award-winning, London-based studio founded in 2011.
RAW's core values include rigour, determination, ambition, entrepreneurialism, common sense, high production standards and the desire to stretch themselves beyond the brief. The studio does not pursue any particular theories or architectural styles through the work, but instead the focus is on solving problems and designing great buildings to work specifically for each client. Function definitely comes first.
RAW was selected for Wallpaper* Magazine 2014 Architects Directory - 'a finely tuned index of the world's best young architectural talent'.
Graeme founded Raw Architecture Workshop in London in 2011 after 6 years at Foster + Partners. He oversees all aspects within the studio, a number of full time staff and numerous projects including, a recently completed award winning rural new build house at Camusdarach Sands, Morar, a new-build primary school in east London, and several private houses at early stages throughout London, south east England and Jersey. Influences include the approach and work of Paul Stallan, Peter Saville, Norman Foster, Bobby Gillespie and Gillespie, Kidd & Coia.
Whilst at Foster + Partners [F+P] Graeme was an Associate Partner responsible for several major UK and international building projects and competitions. His responsibilities included overseeing projects from concept design to completion, involving extensive client contact, management of large architectural and consultant teams, management of complex planning Issues, and contract administration roles. Graeme also spent significant time on site at Thomas Deacon Academy, Peterborough, and Corby Business Academy, gaining experience in all aspects of Academy design and construction whilst working directly with the Client. He was a member of the F+P Construction Review Group and also a Part III Exam Advisor to a number of graduates in the office. He was part of the RIBA Award winning team for Thomas Deacon Academy in 2008, and player/manager of the F+P football team 2005 - 2010.

David’s background in education projects gained whilst at previous practice has also allowed him to make a significant contribution to RAW’s proposals for Sugar House Primary School, part of a 26 acre masterplan for Vastint UK.
